Being held upside down by my ankles over mum’s friend’s sink whilst choking on a boiled sweet!

It’s so nice to be able to design something that I use for my own baby.

Not good for my waistline but we have cakes every Friday.

Catching tadpoles in a local pond. I don’t think my mum was impressed.

I work in Research and Development, so at the moment developing new products to add to the yoomi family.

It’s such a simple idea but it makes life so much easier for parents.
What’s the best thing about working at yoomi?
I think it’s great that a group of engineers have turned the idea of a self-warming bottle into a successful product.
Could you tell us your earliest childhood memory?
I was three years old and in trouble! I was waiting in my pushchair for my dad to finish teaching at a technical college and I’d managed to cover myself in chocolate ice-cream.

It has to be that yoomi has grown from the combined knowledge and experience of an amazing team.

Spirit, it doesn’t matter what challenges the team faces, there is always someone who acts as cheerleader and keeps everyone going.
Could you tell us your earliest childhood memory?
I’m not sure I should confess to this in case he reads it but it was poking my little brother in the eye. He was a newborn and a much more interesting gadget than my dolls.

I relish the challenge, I’m one of those people that likes trouble shooting the problems and finding ways to solve them.
What’s the best thing about working at yoomi?
If you look around at yoomi you’ll find a fascinating blend of diverse cultures, all working together to improve the comfort of parents and babies.
Could you tell us your earliest childhood memory?
I can’t remember exactly how old I was but I was under my mum’s car with a spanner about the same size as me, removing all the nuts I could find.

We’ve created a product that meets a real need for parents (especially dads!). I so wish it had been around when my children were babies.
What’s the best thing about working at yoomi?
There’s a really flexible approach to the way we work, which is great when you have three kids. Plus I’m using my experience to build, rather than just run, a vibrant new business that is full of fun, passion and energy.
Could you tell us your earliest childhood memory?
Oh yes. That would be falling into the toilet while I was being potty trained, apparently I found it as funny as my parents did.

Erm, yes, confession time. It was cutting my parents telephone wire with shears.

I love the fact it’s simple and clever at the same time. We use amazing engineering to solve a tricky problem in an easy way.

What could be better than working as part of a team where everyone works very hard to make it the best that it can be?

I really liked my kindergarten teacher. So much that one day I gave her my mum’s engagement ring. My mum still doesn’t find it funny.

It’s a great product to use but the yoomi bottle and warmer are also so cute to look at!

There’s nothing nicer than flicking through a baby magazine and seeing yoomi in the best products category.

Every year my grandma would save up and send us a stack of presents in January. What a way to start the year.

It has to be the family atmosphere, when we talk about the yoomi family we really mean it.

No door is ever closed, so if I want to stop in and have a chat with the boss then I can.

When I started daycare I took an instant dislike to my teacher. So after they called the register I took myself off and found a class and teacher I liked the look of. My absence caused a bit of a panic.
