Mother’s day is nearly here!
… so we thought we’d dig up some interesting mothering facts…
> There are about 2 billion mums in the world.
> On average, mums take 2 minutes 5 seconds to change a nappy, while dads take only 1 minute 36 seconds.
> Elephants give birth to the largest babies… after enduring 22 months of pregnancy, she gives birth to a 200-pound calf.
> The oldest mother in modern history to give birth was Rajo Devi Lohan from India. She was 70 years old!
> Modern mums in the UK have an average of 2 kids. In the 1950s, they had an average of 3.5 kids. In the 1700s, they had 7–10 kids.
> In Cuba, new mums get 6 months maternity leave with full salary. Nice!
